I'm basically just looking for an Impala with the police hubcaps and the alley light. Preferably the later models 2005 or 2004. How would I go about searching for one without going too terribly far?

I live in Cedar Rapids, IA, if that helps.

04 up Police cars are going to still be hard to come by, they like to get their use out of them. How about an old school 91-96 Caprice with the service duty 350? LOL

lol no... a crown vic is cool too, I see many people driving around with those. I just don't know where they get it.

I think it'd be funny to put the antennas on it, add a police scanner in it and have the alley light! Buhahahahaha

I had a friend that went to a police auction up in Ok City and bought a late 90s cruiser and on the way back got curious about why people kept moving over and slowing down... after a lil while the light bulb went off and he stopped the car and looked on top to find that the lights were flashing... played with the switches and got them turned off... got back home and had them removed so it would be state legal... but still funny that they got switched on by accident

That is kind of funny, do they only sell them at Police Auctions?

not sure... ive seen a COUPLE for sell at dealerships when the P.D.'* upgrade multiple units and trade them in but thats rare

They mostly go at car auctions, not necessarily police auctions. A friend of mine who owns a Cab Company used to get his Caprices from them. Why I mentioned. He got a few Interceptors with the Service 350 that didnt have the chip removed like their suppose to. Those old tanks could fly. Now he looks for the Last Park Aves and Town Cars.

Someone on Yahoo Answers brought up a good point, they beat the hell out of them until they don't want them anymore! I think I'll just get a used 2001-2005 white Impala, and add them in?
