You're never supposed to be under a crane load.
Didn't know the S10 had a V8 option?
What size and HP is it?

I never said I was getting under it. I think I was doing outer tie rods that day.
S10'* do not come from the factory with V8'*. Only 4.3 and the little 4 cylinder. I installed a Vortec 5.7 out of a 2002 Chevy Express. Stock, these engines put out about 255HP if I remember correctly;. This one probably closer to 300 due to the custom headers that were installed. Everything else is stock.

OK I had a 2003 S10 with the 4.3 and if I remember the #3 plug was a PITA to change, right behind the steering column shaft.
Good thing the plugs were double platinum. Only changed them once around 100k miles.
I used a short 5/8" plug socket that was a hex head. Had to pull the left front tire off. First time I ever had to remove a tire to change plugs. lol

#3 is a PITA to change on the 4.3'*.
If I recall on mine(V, in order to change #4, I have to remove the exhaust manifold.
