I miss flying. I soloed, and began logging hours, but then fell out of it about 14 years ago.

Well we managed to arrive in one piece! Santa Fe was a little chilly and windy, Hutchinson was beautiful and about 65 degrees, Burlington was in the 20s or 30s with a slight breeze, and Detroit was about 10 degrees with a 15mph wind. I forgot how cold that feels!
We had great weather the whole way, and it was a ton of fun to see such a big chunk of the country in a day. I left the camera in the airplane so I'll have to post pics a little later. Didn't really get any interesting shots, just snapped a few photos to prove I made the journey.
Should be here until Thursday morning, then heading to Muscatine for a couple days. After that we might take a long route home... perhaps fly south down the Mississippi river and head west across the south central US. More details later.

Boy... it has been a while since I posted anything on BC! I feel out of the loop... after only a week away I had over 4500 unread posts . Honestly, I didn't even bother to try and read them all. But anyway, I thought I would post a few pictures of our air journey. If anyone kept tracking us all week you saw that we went back to Muscatine for a few days, then tried to go south. We only got as far as St. Louis before we realized the weather in Texas/Oklahoma was going to keep us from getting home if we went down to New Orleans, so we decided to head to Topeka, KS for the evening. We flew the rest of the way to Glendale on Monday, getting home just after 6pm local time.
If I missed anything important on BC, please PM me a link to the topic . Otherwise, here are some pics:

I did meet up with Doug (MyLittleBlackBird) and give airplane rides to him and many other friends and family members. It was a great trip, and I would do it again if I had the opportunity. Nothing like seeing America from the skies in a small aircraft

Very nice pics! Love the aerial shots! I'll see some of those next week!
What do you like better, driving a Bonnie or flying a plane?.........(trick question!)
