Since when is a 2.2 OHV fast? He must think a 3100 is a monster then.

Funny thing is with me being a total GM nut, I emailed him and acted like I didn't know anything about the car, I asked what the HP and TQ ratings were... What was his answer?

Actual answer -

"Oh it'* sumthing lyke 160hp, 225tq, I had a dino sheet, but I lost it."

My friend'* 02 Alero has that same engine and it does have great pickup for a 2.2L engine. I was impressed to say the least.

Gah! That Cavvy would fall apart if it was pushing 160hp hahah!!! I drove a 96 before my Bonne, and it was quick if you knew how to drive it (5 spd manual)...but it wasn't fast!

I did a rebuild on the upper 1/2...timing chain, new valves, machined head, etc...I did actually gain some hp from that, but...IDK about some people haha!

Wanna talk slow? My dad had a '91 Cavalier RS 4 -door with the 2.2 TBI. Oh man talk about super slow. You would floor it, and be like "is it moving?"
