it wasn't a 95 then. I can guarantee that the LeSabre had the Series II in 95. Why would Buick ever want to put their new engine in a Pontiac before they put it in their own cars..

Would the fact that it'* a 95 also indicate the mixed OBD I/II configuration? If so, it might be tough to get the car scanned for codes without spending some $$$. Just a thought.

Okay, I should have been more clear about what I knew in the first post...

the '95 LeSabre has a Series I in it. If it'* got the linear EGR and that other Mixed OBD **** I don't know, but I know it has a Series I. I'd put money on it fact is, the Series II DID come a year late to the LeSabre. Sorry not to state that in the first post. Didn't know it would cause such a commotion!

I just am truely shocked that Buick would allow their engine to be put into a PONTIAC before their best selling full size car, the LeSabre. it is just a huge shock..

I'm shocked as well... 1992 was the first year that Pontiac used the Vin L 3800... Other cars had t as early as 1990 or 91... But yes thats a supprise that Pontiac used the engine in 1995 and buick a year later..
same with the VIN C. It was standard on Buicks in 88 but not in Pontiacs until 89.
