It'* a reputation system, different than the props, see the justice looking scales near the online indicator, that is where you click to add negative, or positive reputation, along with comments if desired.
Seen this on another forum I am an admin on, so that is how I knew what it was.

Both should have pretty much the same purposes, usually they are both used to show who positively contributes to the site, helps others, knows what they are talking about, etc..
When I said the props system was different, I just meant the two were not tied together on this site, not that I know of anyway, I am just speaking from experience on another VB based web site.
The only actual difference I know of, is that with the reputation system you can leave a comment.

Ok so ..
Roy,Nick,Shaun & myself have one green dot & states...
" Is on a distinguished Road" and in my case missing .."to Recovery"
William & Justin have 2 green dots and then states...
"Will become Famous soon Enough"...
and then there is MIKE >>~~~~~~!!! with numerous green dots...
"Is a Glorious Beacon of Light"...!!!
Congrats Mike ...A real Angel in a light house!
