Graphic Designers - I need opinions
I am an untrained graphic designer and I am making some business cards and I would like your honest opinions and constructive criticism on my recent creations.
I can only look at something for so long before i really dont know what to think.
These will be business cards and all the information has been changed to protect the innocent. This image also allows for bleed so the final image will be trimmed 1/8" smaller than the image (or approx 38 pixels via the screen) on all sides
(Click to enlarge... its big... [2x3.5"] x 300dpi)

i tell this to all my customers, i hate the font papyrus.
what do you have your black background setup as?
C-75
M-68
Y-67
K-89
the printer is not gonna like that. try going for a rich black of:
C-50
M-50
Y-50
K-100
otherwise, i like it

if you are printing them on a laser, do 100, 100, 100, 100.. it will be complete black
I have a ton of highquality fonts I could send to you on a disc, PM me
Wetness is not a problem with laser printers, however, and "400% black" (as it is also known) produces very striking results in laser prints

Yeah but that does not mean it does not look good. I think they look cool and better than the generic boring cards most people hand out.

<DISCLAIMER> I'm not anywhere near an expert in this field, but since you asked.....
I personally don't think you should turn that text on the left the way you did. Since business cards are a small ad, you want someone to be able to read it at a glance. If you make them work at it (turn the card, or at least the text in their head) they may never read it.
And your fields/skills seem to diverse/unrelated. You may want to consider two or three cards, depending on which field you are advertising to the potential customer.
Personally, I don't mind the font at all. But I can see where it might seem a tad unprofessional.
But, despute the criticisms (you asked for it) it looks pretty good to me.

No really its all good. Its what i want, thanks!. No sugar coatings cause i'm trying to improve.
I will add one note. This is more of a "social card" than a 'business card' (thus the AIM screen name) that is why it does not look professional... its not supposed to. And there are no 'customers' persay because there is no business to go with it. When i get more serious about starting to do freelance work I think I will have specific cards.
That being said, I would like to not include that at all, but i felt the card was missing something so I added more information which might have made it too professional? Would it be better to just leave that out all together and adjust the design to compensate or more contact information like address and such?
