I think you'all are relating costs to what you can pick normal parts up for. When I say I need front brakes, rotors, possibly a caliper, alignment, an alternator, all four shocks, all gas lines, hip, rear bumper,(the last 2 items I haven't been able to find used, they leave the wrecking yards as they get them), rear drums and shoes I am talking about 3500 Heavy Series. same as the 3500 suspension used on flat beds tow trucks etc. On top of this I have a Diesel engine that doesn't want to run right yet 2 places have now been unable to diagnose (It'* up in Binghamton now at #3) And an electric system with a mind of it'* own since the air conditioning clutch seized up. What frosts the cake is a finicky tranny with OD that has been criticized for being mated to the Cummins all along. How I got 140k out of it already is bewildering. I did keep up with Filter/Fluid Changes @ 50 and 100k. Very frustrated and waiting to hear from the truck plaza I took it to.
