i just set up an appointment with adt and bought some renters insurance. guy across the hall got his door kicked in and about 6k worth of stuff stolen.... at 130 in the afternoon while his wife was sleeping in the bedroom. she woke up and the house was robbed. if you can kick down a door and not wake someone, you know you have shitty doors. gated communities are safer my ***. the state trooper said they just had another one on the 3rd floor a few weeks ago, and about 2 years ago there was a huge string in our complex, all on the 3rd floor. wtf.

I lock my guns up during the day if I'm not home. When I am home the shotgun is out, loaded, and easily accessible. If I'm outside my house I'm usually carrying my pistol and my folding knife.
I might seem paranoid, but I don't mess around with my family or my safety against ********.

im trying to convince the gf we dont need an alarm that takes over 30 seconds to go off in the first place. most robberies take less than 3 mins. im thinking more like taking out the latch side of the door frame and replacing it with some 1/8" flat stock. aint no way that **** would get kicked down lol.

as for guns, i have my permit but if you aren't home there'* no use for one. aside from the fact lauren is scared of them. maybe ill just get her a nitrogen airsoft gun. them things coupled with steel bb'* will break the skin at 20 feet. hurts like all hell.

Basically what I'm hoping you tell me is that you aren't required to have a permit just to own a weapon.
