snow is still fun when you are a kid, after that it gets old quick. i would be better if it only snowed for a couple weeks at christmas time and that was it.

Had an interesting day at work today. Had a customer drop off a tire and rim for a tire repair. I attempted to inflate it, and found a major leak in the tread. Seemed easy enough to plug. Started reaming the hole, and without any surprise, there wasn't much resistance. So, I break the tire down, and while I'm moving it around, I hear something fairly big bouncing around inside. This was what I found:

At one time, it was a ball point pen. A very fancy one at that, with a steel barrel and all.
Anyways, I go to plug the hole, and find that park of the barrel is still in the tire. After fighting with it using two pairs of pliers and 2 different vice grips, I got it out. To say the customer was shocked when I showed him what was in the tire was an understatement. Surprisingly, this isn't the strangest thing I've pulled from a tire.

So I wonder if it was the pen that stabbed the tire, or did the owner use a $50 pen to plug the tire, and didn't tell you about it?
