Gas pumps, and people who ignore them

Well, after reading a number of threads about people with the opposite problem (the pump constantly shutting off) which usually is a problem with the tank'* evap system or the filler neck, I was curious as to whether it was her car or the pump that malfunctioned.
I normally rig the pump, then go check the oil and tire pressure while my tank fills. I can usually check all five points by the time I reach the 10-11 gallon mark. I (and everyone behind us in line) was certainly keeping eyes on the pump this time!

Ya, it goes both ways, to tight a fit or a neck that won't take the volume being delivered gets you that irritating click you have to let go and repress to keep it going. When the mechanism is broke, it just pumps ballz the wallz regardless.
