While we all know that simply stop buying gas for a day won't work, and that we all made ourselves dependent on oil, something needs to be done.

There'* no competition to drive the prices down. Democratic free enterprise *needs* competition to keep inflation under control.

Any time you have a business or conglomeration with no competition, you've left yourself wide open for uncontrolled price increases.

I can't believe that other potentially competitive refineries are closing thier doors...makes me think they got visited by some armed men in black suits.
