Hey man, I hear ya. While I haven't had to move away from everything I know, I've made friends with many people who have, and I can't imagine how challenging it can be. What high school you goin to? Lemme know when you're free, maybe we can meet up and do somethin', you're only about 10-15 minutes away

sounds a little familiar.
the summer before my senior year in Oklahoma, i moved to Michigan to be with my (at-the-time) girlfriend. my family stayed in oklahoma, so that left me by myself in michigan. we broke up two weeks after i moved (she was cheating on me), leaving me incredibly alone.
im with you man.

Man, what a bummer. I can't / won't say that I can relate, but I can imagine that is no fun.
On the bright side, you're a senior, so it'* only one year.
I have been out of school for like 14 years and only talk to one high school friend, so in the scheme of things you're just getting a head start.
As far as freinds, you have all of us. Maybe you can get to a meet or two, even if you have to ride with someone else.
As far as first love, I do feel you there, sort of.
I found out my first love was moving to a differnet city to start school like 2 weeks before the move, and I found out while on vacation. What a drag.
Luckly her new city was only like 2 hours away, in Pittsburgh, but still. She was going to a business school and I was a high school senior. So I made palns to start at an art school down there when I graduated.
So, about a month before I was supposed to start down there, she decides to move back up here. So now I have no place to live when I start school, since I was going to move in with her, so I end up not going to school at all. Then we broke up about a year later after she cheated on me and got prego by the other guy.
So, yeah, I feel your pain there.
WOW, sorry, didn't mean to jack your thread, that'* the first time I ever really talked about that.

Don't feel bad. Seeing that you are from NE Ohio, you know our area is quite unique in terms of living, jobs, politics, schools, etc. I know when I go on vacations or go see family in Indiana or something, I get extremely homesick, then when I get home, suddenly I am completely fine. I guess when you live in a certain area, you get very used to it, and suddenly moving will get you homesick. Maybe over time, you will adjust to the new area and such, if not, screw it, come back here.

Who doesn't remember there first love???
Mine..well it went sorta like this "When the money was gone, so was she."
Blew my whole college savings on her over the year and when she found out I was actually poor and from a poor family she just up and left and broke my heart.
Someone better is your destiny, remember that. Now get off your sorry butt and go meet people.

Buck up, Drifty. Time to move forward, me matey - you have a lot of happiness and grief ahead of you. Sit down, shut up, hang on, and enjoy the ride. You might not be thinkin' so right now, but your life'* NOT over.

Hey take it from a military guy where moving is half of our profession. Don't let not knowing the area keep you in the house. This is your time to get out and explore. Meet new people and make new friends. Also it will help get this chic off your mind as much. Trust me, get out and enjoy yourself. As experience has shown me, you find what your looking for when ever your not actually searching for it. Try not to stress as much and just relax and enjoy. First loves, yeah I grew up on a tourist Island, so first loves were once a week for me. It'll be fine, your just in limbo right now. It'll work out for ya.
