Explorer is PMSing...
Ok, so the check engine light came on a couple days back on my 96 explorer 4.0L. It'* came on before but gone back off after a day. Not having an OBD II scanner in my posetion I swung by Sucks auto parts and borrowed one. Hooked it up and it told me code P0153: 02 Sensor circut slow response (Bank 2 Sensor 1) and that I have a pending code P0133.
Now, granted, the truck seems to run fine, but when the check engine light is on, it can be difficult to start it.
Do I just need to replace this sensor? Am I causing the truck harm by driving it?
The light has since gone back off and I'm not having any problems. :?

DJ... you want the good news or bad news?
Highlander'* wife has the 5.0AWD version. Same code. On her'* there'* 4 O2'*...make sure you know which one..up/down..left/dright. The connectors on 5.0 are on top of the trans. On the 4.0 you'll probably be able to get in there. If not..call...I can tell you how to wedge your arm into almost postiion and then jamb it in harder...
The scratches and bruising will subside about 4 days later.

Same "bank 2 sensor 1"? I have the 5-speed manual gearbox, I wonder if it is any better?
