EDIT: road rage stories and rants
im typically a fairly aggresive driver. but lately ive been trying to scale back, because my fiancee told me she didnt really like the way i drive any more. that fact is what makes the following experience much more ironic.
im driving home from work tonight, and i notice in my rearview a truck weaving in and out of traffic. on a normal day, id play with him. but no, im trying to change my driving habits. so i stay in my lane and continue going 5 over. well, i happen to pull up next to another car going slightly slower, so he pulls behind me. hes riding my bumper so i flash my brakes. he flashes his brights, so i slow down. he backs off a bit, so i speed back up to 5 over and he darts around me [giving me a nice full view of his right middle finger] and throws on his brakes in front of me. being the awesome driver i am, this act doesnt result in an accident; im paying attention. instead, i change lanes into the lane he vacated to dart in front of me and continue on my merry way. well, he slows down and gets behind me, riding my bumper. so im thinking maybe i wont turn into my neighborhood, ill turn into the one behind it. and i do. but he follows me. i make a couple turns down the neighborhood streets and he still follows me, so i make my way back out to the main road. he continues to follow me. so i get back on the main road and drive the quarter of a mile to the highway, get on the highway, and drive to the local police station. hes riding my bumper the entire time, but oddly, he opts not to turn into the police station. he keeps going.
so im not dead. and the irony is that im convinced that had i not been trying to change my driving habits to be less agressive, this would not have happened.

Did you ever make eye contact with the driver? From what I have read, thats what sets em off....
I have found OKC to be mostly friendly, driver-wise. Only place I have ever been saluted has been I-35 down south, like Se anywhere 82nd ETC.
Glad nothing really bad happened though

I've had a couple guys follow me, one guy for a couple miles just for passing him normally. I usually upset people who tailgate me when I hit my brakes. But I will continue to do it, even though my license plate has been taken down at least once because of it. There'* nothing they can tell cops that will affect me when they are the ones tailgating.
There are some crazy people out there.
Nice job turning into the police station. lol

I'm complete opposite (but also from Idaho)
assuming there are no passengers in the car/truck that has a problem with me...I'd pull the f*** over and see what his deal was, However I'd be taping the whole thing with my cell phone.
if there are passengers in the car I'd better have at least one of my boys with me and yes, its on.
However in a city I'd never consider something like that. Small town..sure.

You can get pretty heated up in situations like that. I've gotten pretty irate at times with some people, but after a while I cool down. And usually I'm the one making the other guys irate. Making a snap decision to pull over could be a big mistake that you may live to regret.
Especially in New Hampshire – lol

Same thing happened with Brian and I. We were going down I-95 in Connecticut when all of the sudden, a punk in a Ford Escape came up RIGHT on our ***. Brian brake checked him, which is what anyone would do in that situation. The Escape then managed to overtake us and SLAM on his brakes. This caused Brian to, also, slam on his brakes. Hard. Brian got mad. I promised I wouldn't tell the rest of the story to the club, so I'm not gonna. Let'* just say that he got what was coming to him.
