i think the video drivers support dual monitors.
here'* how it'* set up:
got a 2meg s3 trio pci acting as the main,
with the secondary being the 8meg 4x onboard agp <sis 63326>.
in the device manager, it just says that the device cannot start, and gives a code 10.
this setup worked like a dream in windows 98, but that was one of the few things that actually worked the way it should have, which is why i went back to 2000. is windows 2k actually designed to be able to support dual monitors?

Yup. I have dual moitors on 2K at work. Your problem is most on board video'* cut off when you insert a card.
The easiest way to do it is with 2 similar (preferably identical) cards, or one card with 2 outs.
Go into your device manager and see if you can see both cards right now. You may be able to fight your way through it, but it won't perform as well as you probably want
