Your also coming right through my path, but this weekend is my daughters 8th birthday so I'll be busy with the festivities. However, I will keep an eye out for a green Bonne on the shoulder

Ok...slightly rescheduled. Leaving saturday...10 am. Still coming back sunday night. If anyone wants to stop around for a quick hey, can't be too long but meeting someone in person is always cool.
Going I-94 all the way through IL and then I-65 down to Lafayette, IN, then down to indianapolis on sunday and then sunday evening, making my way back up to wisconsin.

Yes, but you're going to INDIANA! The Truckstop of America.
Wisconsin must be pretty bad, if you're that giddy to go to Indiana.

Whelp, I'm back! Unfortunately didn't get time to meet up with many members for lack of response and lack of planning. Didn't get home until midnight last night. It was very interesting driving 200 miles in the pitch black dark...in a downpour...going 75...with deer.
On crappy Cooper tires. Yeah, that was interesting for sure.
So a total of 400 miles there, and almost 400 back. Going down I averaged about 29 because I got lost for 3 hours in construction stop and go, and umm, on the way back the average is about 31, but I did about 35-40 miles of heavy stop and go, in and around chicagoland, so that kinda killed my average. I'm guessing if I did it all highway, with no messed up results I would have averaged about 33, with an average speed of 72.
Interestingly enough..I only saw one patrolling cop...on my way up..while in chicago...and then 4 speeding down the freeway opposite me in the rain, lights and sirens going about 100...thats it...maybe ONE in indiana.

Giddy, yes...because I went to go see my best friend from Hawaii that I hadn't seen in 6 years. I really tried to get down there on friday so that i'd have the whole day saturday with her, but only got there at 7:30 EST on Saturday...so I spent a grand total of 20 hours there, 7 of that sleeping. Really was quite a let down, but it was a hell of alot better than not going!
No problems with the car tho, not even a hiccup. But thanks for keeping a lookout guys

And for the record..locals had once told me..go anywhere in Indiana...but stay out of Gary. (Wonder if Leslie lived there back then? )

Hah, yeah, well driving about 800 miles in 2 days just to be with someone for about 12-13 hours....mmm, probably gives you some idea.
But yeah, me didn't go to Gary , didn't look too great (Sorry Les ), Lafayette was a damn nice town, I wish I could live there instead of florida or NC. :?
Mmm, But I'll be coming back to there 1-3 times a year , forgot to mention, shes moving there on the 13th of next month...so it'll be quite cool that I'll be able to get back to the region to see some members in the area.
