Final post on this topic regarding planning

Meeting Time: 1230 - 1pm (no later then 1pm please)
Meeting Place: Oakville Place Southeast lot (In front of the new addition)

Route: QEW to St.Catharines, exiting at Glendale Ave, right on Glendale, travel about 5 kms to GM plant, Main parking lot.

We will be going on the tour first. Once I arrive I will call my uncle and he will come out to meet us, chances are we can get front of the line if there is a lineup. There will be a car show in the parking lot after the tour. He suggest we tour the plant first, then check out the car show.

Any questions call my cell, PM for the number please

See you tomorrow

Just got back from the tour/show and shine. It was great!. 50th anniversary of the GM plant in St. Cath, current home of the V6 used in the Cadillac CTS, and the home of the LS1, LS2, LS6 V8'*.

We followed the assembly line and got to see machined blocks in all 3 stages, then all the pistons, cams, and rods, followed by complete LS2 assembly from block to completed engine...its amazing how fast its all put together. The assembly line was a real learning experience, most parts are put together by machinary, then bolted and torqued down by an operator.

We got an up close and personal look at the GTO (I dont care..thats a SWEET car), Cadillac: SSR, CTS, CTS-V, C6 Vette and Chevy SSR truck.

Then we went out to the north lot and checked out the show and shine, to bad it was kinda drizzly. I did notice a 2 dr GTP owned by a member of QOCGP (and presumably CGP) dunno who it was tho...I didnt really care, but that cars were awesome, GTO club, Corvette Club, the Upstate NY Impala Club, lotsa classics including a fully working 1913 Cadillac horseless carriage..lol and a 1935 Pontiac 8.

I'll post pics tomorrow.
