I think you can do this to find out how many lines you have:

Shrink the horizontal width of your internet window until the horizontal scroll bar appears. Then your sig will have adjusted itself to its maximum amount of lines, then you can tell how you need to edit it.

You will need to try this in a thread that has no pics in it other than sig pics, because a large pic will change the width at which the horizontal scroll bar appears.
