Seriously, my old ME computer used to lose 22 out of 24 hours a day after being on for only 2 days...

I've never had any problems with any Windows OS, other than just not liking them. I tried Vista, and didn't like it. It argued with some of my old hardware and software, but even MS warned us all that that was a possibility on old machines. I also did not like the "I'd rather be pretty than informative" layout of the menus and windows. So, I didn't like it, doesn't mean I think it'* a bad OS (nor should it) it just ain't for me....
And, I had a cracked version, which probably made the issue even worse...
But since the main thing I don't like about it is the price
, I won't be trying it again for a while....

i love it, its constantly updated, runs really smoothly, it hasnt crashed once, there have been no driver issues, almost everything is plug and play, its compatible with all software..

I have a 2.2 amd x 2 and 2 gb of ram and I am having problems with it too but I am trying to get it figured out. I think I will get another stick of ram some day

I probably will never upgrade to Vista just because it all seems like a big gravy addition. From what I've heard, it'* a total resource hog, and I'm just not into that. Win XP/Gentoo dual boot FTW!
