Do relationships at work work?
Just like the title says, Do relationships at work, work?
Because i've heard that they don't because of stress or something.
If you want PM for more details, i really don't feel like discussing my personal matters with the entire World Wide Web :P

I've had 2 work for a short time. One of those was a fooking nightmare. The other was 'mutually agreed' to be a bad idea and we remained friends.
I had another that worked out very well. Long-term.

And thats what i kinda thought, its not like i'm gonna be there for the rest of my life so if it does crash and burn i can always find another minimum wage job (or i can probably be transfered to one of the other two mcdonalds in my city)

The norm is NO.
Most companies frown against it.
Some companies will not even allow spouses to share the same work space.
In general it can be disruptive whether the relationship works or not and particularly uncomfortable if it doesn't work because most of the time one of the couple leaves the job to avoid contact with the other.

I work at an office with around 700 people. About 2/3 of them are women, a good portion are my age and single....but

Just realize one thing: if a work relationship goes sour, SHE has all of the advantages. All she has to do is say the words, "Sexual Harassment" and you WILL be terminated, guilty or not. I've seen it happen many, many times.
Management isn't going to listen to the accused, just the allegation is enough for them to decide you are a liability (after all, if you weren't guilty, she wouldn't have accused you, right) and toss you.
Maybe it'* a short term job, but that termination is going to be sitting there to trip you up later. Maybe the next job won't ask you why you left, or maybe they won't check. But if they do....
