I HIGHLY doubt the Assistant Attorney General is a customer of his. He'* talking out of his a$$ in an effort to scare me. It'* not working. I am contacting the AG right now.
He can't sue NBC either, its their job to report the news. They reported the truth, and they did it professionally. NBC never accused him of anything, I did. The news just reported what I told them (which is 100% true).

Funny he said he would take care of the check as soon as you took the video down, HA, when has he done anything he said he was going to do. What proof do you have that this time he would "keep his word". I would say though that you need to end this, and what I mean by that is just put it behind you and move on in life. You got him on air and humiliated, now its time to let it go and move on. Just a thought.

In this case, I'd say keeping with it will be protecting future potential customers.

I would recommend getting a copy of that email for the assistant AG to see when you take it to the AG, most definitely. Also, notifying the news station is perfect, they will probably at least do a follow-up, even if it'* only through words (no video).
Any intelligent businessman should know that...
A.) You never bring a member in legal standing into a confrontation by making personal reference (friendship, privilege, favoritism, etc.)
B.) You do not threaten a legal suit under false pretenses.
In fact, threatening to sue someone is against the law here in TX.

Send the letter to the news station, maybe they would do a followup.
And as mentioned, take the e-mail personally to the AG office, or the AG himself if you can. Sending a copy to the BBB is also a wise choice IMO..
He'* betting you'll cave under the pressure and threats.
