I'm not addicted. Addicts go to meetings. And you can ask the other Minnesota guys, I never go to meetings. Therefore, I can't be termed addicted.....

Alright guys, lecture time.....
If you're surfing BC so much that it'* affecting your job or having a detrimental effect on any relationship in your life (whether it be employee/employer, wife/husband, girlfriend/boyfriend, or anyone else) it'* a bad thing. In that case you need to take a step back and really ask yourself if you're investing enough time in the most important things. At work you get paid to be there and devote your time to someone else, and if you're not doing your job well you're effectively cheating your boss out of money. Whether or not you like your work is another story, but it'* unethical and unfair to short-change your employer.
The same is true for a spouse or girlfriend/boyfriend. Your relationship will suffer if your BC habit infringe on quality time with that person. We ought to try to meet the needs of the people closest to us before we meet our own needs (and I'm not talking strictly about physical needs, you leg-humpers). We should be selfless with our time and energy, putting work or relationships ahead of our own wants and desires. I think we'll all find that our lives are more fulfilling when we live life this way. Heck, these ideas aren't new; they've been around for a few thousand years.
It'* just my two cents, but please don't let BC dominate your free time. I have struggled with spending too much time on here, and I think it caused me to be less considerate of the important people in my life. Just some thoughts I had.

when i have company (girls) over, i will close off BC no matter how many posts i loose...
but when i have school work to be done, i just cant seem to hit that damn X, i often consider myself asking for a weeklong ban, and then im like.....wtf for, i should be able to do this myself...
does a ban, ban you from viewing the site, or logging into the site?

jOk... haha it'* not that bad here. But I have been suffering from underappreciation lately. And I've taken the steps to move up at work. Meanwhile I choose what gets done and my production is much higher than the few around me. It used to be even higher....but as my boss put it, "I'm meeting expectations" BSMF...enjoy life w/o me soon.

You present a good point. it'* all about the willpower.
Problem is, BC is a link to our friends. We can come on here and just make conversation about anything at all. This thread is just an effort to waste time with my friends! Yes, I wrote that essay, and yes it sucked, but it'* not directly becuase of BC. It'* becuase I choose to be here instead of in Microsoft Word.
