DAMN COLD!!!!!!!!!
It got so cold here in MN last night ALL THE COOLANT IN MY PICK UP FROZE!!!!!!!!! And I didn't know it.....Started goin to work....get a mile from my house and the temp gauge was already reading 210* but not blowing hot air....So I whipped it around parked it at home....By that time the temp gauge was just starting to flicker the check gauges light on annd off......I tried to squeeze my upper rad hose and the hose was FROZEN SOLID!!!!! What a great way to end the week.......Pulled it in the garage and got it thawed out though.....Then went and got the coolant flused and the oil changed......120 bux later......I better be alright now or I'm gonna park my truck on the lake and cut a hole around it with a chain saw,
Sorry.....Just had to vent....Any one else having a hard time with the cold?

if u mess with the water and antifreeze mixture u can change the freezing point and i use a refractormeter to test the freezing point. we sell rv antifreeze and it has a freeze point of -50.

how do you use a refractometer to test the freezing point? :?
To get the lowest freezing point (eutectic point) using the green antifreeze the mixure would be like 57/42 of water/antifreeze.

iis this orange scope looking thing i take a drop of the 50/50 antifreeze and put it on the black strip close it and while looking in to the scope part u press the button and and shows u the freezing point. it has numerous readng points from 0 deg to i think -70 deg.
