I was wondering how many people on here park outside? also how would you try to protect your car from hail??? i was covering my bonnie last night during a storm cuz it started to hail , so i took soft rugs (its like a really big trunk mat) and coved my car. is that weird to do?

I park outside, and hail isnt an issue here in these parts, but if I were to protect it from hail, I would have to buy one of those portable car port things that you can set up in your driveway that covers the entire vehicle.

we should invent some type of foam cover to cushion the hail hitting. We've had numerous hail claims due to the storms that hit here 4/07/06. Luckily it didn't land in my town but it did damage all around me.

Spare carpet pieces is a good idea if you know the hail is coming.
cardboard would help as well.
anything to take some of the blunt of the storm.
