chopped and screwed music
ok for those who dont know the term "chopped and screwed" it normally means (atleast in the world of those who like subs) that the song is digitally edited to add bass/low end to the song.
So my question lies in, does anyone like to do this?
Or is anyone willing to do it/ give it a shot?

i like to here song how that would sound live, but clear.
thats why i keep my bass down to not be over powering.
i think songs with to much base in them dont sound real.
but if im testing them yes, they can be fun

its a lot harder to overpower 6.5 components that get 150rms per side. Than stock speakers.
It is also done to songs which done really have low bass. One sweet one that I have is a song by phil collins "In the air tonight"

Chopped and Screwed...
was told a story about this few years back from an old timer in FLA.. Supposedly the reason it was done was because of the pot heads smokin weed in there cars while cruising the fast up beat music ruined there high..

I can probably do this in my studio. I can mess with speeds and more than likely add some bass to any song.
Want to give me some projects to work on? My studio is sadly not used as much as it should be.

"Chopped and Screwed" was started by DJ Screw, it was made to listen to while you are tripping on cough syrup (which is how DJ Screw died, ODed on cough syrup). It was made popular after he died.
The last Pimp C cd I bought has a chopped and screwed disc with it. It hits so hard in my Sonoma, if you have it turned up at a stop, the truck will stall

Chopped and screwed is mainly slowed down and the beats are remixed and edited after being slowed. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chopped_and_screwed

i just downloaded about a dozen chopped and screwed songs purely cuz of interest.. i didnt like a single one... back in high school all i listened to was bassy rap, but i think i had to much of it... i cant stand rap and extreme bass anymore... most of the ones i listened to were just slowed down so much the voices sounded bad.. if they could slow the beat down, but maintain the voices that would sound a lot better imo
