Honestly though
you dont build a 9 second car and not expect this to NOT happen sh.it happens even going straight. Im sure they will get it straight and continue to race it, who knows maybe is was a rebuilt wreck.

Then again, it'* somewhat fitting that this Buick met the same fate as many Buicks do - being totaled by it'* elderly driver.

The difference between the GNX and the Grand National are a better turbo, intercooler, exhaust and slightly different programming right? I mean i realize they are a lot more rare and have the production number plate in the dash and all but performance wise and Grand National can be built to meet or exceed and GNX i would imagine.

Oh heck no. They had (Quoted from a site) -
Changes made included a special Garrett ceramic-impeller turbocharger connected by a ceramic-coated pipe to a better intercooler. A special computer chip, low-restriction exhaust, and reprogrammed Turbo Hydramatic 200-4R transmission with a custom torque converter and transmission fluid cooler, and finned rearend cover with GNX imprinted in it completed the drivetrain modifications. Exterior styling changes include vents located on each front fender, 16 inch black mesh style wheels with VR-speed rated tires, and deletion of the hood and fender emblems. The interior changes of the GNX included a serial number on the dash plaque and a revised instrument cluster providing analog Stewart-Warner gauges, including an analog turbo boost gauge
