That brings back a lot of memory'*, thanks for the pictures. I haven't flown for years, I used to go with a friend in a 172 and he would let me fly for about an hour at a time. What an amazing feeling. We took our son Mick up a couple of times and but he was so young that he would always fall asleep in the back seat.
Thanks for sharing.

Sorry to hear that, Curt :( Flying really is a joy, especially when you get back to the grassroots level. I think a career as an airline pilot sounds alright, but it'* nothing compared to the joy of flying a 152 around the USA. That'* the kind of flying they did in the early 20th century (not in a 152, of course, but similar speeds), and I feel privileged to have the opportunity to experience that kind of trip.
Thanks for looking at the pictures, everybody!

If the aircraft'* owner will allow it, take the window strap off for the next flight (The strap that only alows the window to open a few inches out of the frame.) It'* kinda cool to pop the window and it will float all the way up to the underside of the wing, turning the 152 into a really open-cockpit We did that a few times to accomodate a fellow who was taking arial photographs and wanted the window out of the way.
