Well I live on my cell phone, so I guess I'm for it, cause I need it for my job, but, I really hate when OTHER people talk on thiers, cause they obviously can't drive as well as I can, cause they are always trying to run me off the road! So I guess I'm kinda in the middle of this issue. Maybe I should run for something.

I'm against banning cel phone usage in a car it'* no worse than having a conversation with another person in the car. Also a study last year concluded that eating while driving was actually responsible for more accidents. So are they going to ban eating in cars next.

I made a good observation today driving back up to school. It wasn't a cell phone related thing, but some guy was reading a BOOK!!! while driving. He made erratic lane changes constantly, and one time almost killed hiimself flying across 3 lanes on the freeway almost impaling a guard rail. It was scary.

Personally, I think they should do something about the cellphone wile driving thing up here......too many people talking on them and not paying attention to the road. A perfect example of this is my girlfriend was pushing our oldest son in his stroller across the street (with the light) and someone just about hit them because he ran a red light while talking on his phone......I have nothing against the users who talk on the hands free. As for banning it for most women, I sorta agree but there are also some exceptions( some of the female drivers up here are as good as the males if not better) All you guys have good points to this subject.

I do sometimes use a cellphone while driving, but I try to only do so when I'm on open highway...or in general when there'* not as much to keep track of..like lights and making turns, etc...and I use a headset whenever I can....I agree with Jeanie in the sense that there are tons of things people could be doing while driving that could cause problems...people just need to use their heads...it'* unfortunate that so many apparently can't be trusted to do so...so many times I see people doing moronic things in traffic and see that they're on their cell phones chatting away....but then again I almost got hit in a crosswalk the other day by some woman who was doing about 40 in a 25 (in-town speed limit), looking down to adjust her radio...
