Nah, it detonated right behind me. Overpressure left me with ringing ears and couldnt hear **** for a few minutes. Only messed up the shields on the side of the truck behind me. Couldnt get the bastard responsible though.

I'm looking at his signature, and I want to punch something. I've hauled steel for that armor, and it'* just stupidly thin.
Chad knew how useless it was and still did his duty. That'* courage.

That song, "Carry On Wayward Son" by Kansas, will always, always remind me of Chad and his bravery.

I didn't know if it would be in bad taste to post in his thread but I had just read it recently and when I read the horrible news today I went right back to it. It just reminded me of the kind of person Chad was. He felt like it was just another day throughout this thread. He was so brave and I am priviledged to have known him through BC. My heart goes out to his family and friends. I feel so sad and he will be missed!

Heard Billy Ray Cirus "All Gave Some, Some Gave All" today, I always get a little misty eyed during it with my own family that has died in the service, but today it hit a little bit harder
