He'* a she...and she has good taste in cars. I for one LOVE the look of the new TLs, but I don't trust the trans based on what I've heard. Plus @ almost 50,000 miles it'* $24,000. Way overpriced IMO.
I'd take the G in this case though I'd rather have the coupe. But I love the M45.

So, does she want these cars for daily driving, or for more sinister activities?
For pure performance, go G35 without question.
If this is a car thats going to be used all year long, the TL may be a bit better (unless of course the G35 is AWD).
Looks, well thats all on opinion so I can't make a call on that one.
How about warranties? I assume that these aren't certified pre-owned cars due to the mileage, but what about powertrain warranties? Do either of these have powertrain warranties still in effect?
On a side note, it'* amazing what you get for $20k these days.....

They are both great cars. My friend ben took a GTO no problem with his 04 TL. The G35 is a great car as well and I have never heard anything negative of either car. The tranny problem that plagued acura has all been corrected since 2004.Drive ither one and you wont believe they are just V6 engines

I drove a gto for a whole day before I bought my GXP Bonneville. it was the 5.7 though and it could spin(Melt) the tires but these days its about traction.Lol my BMW puts out 325hp and I cant even chirp the tires... Anyway I am not bashing the GTO on stating that the TL was suprisingly quicker off the line.

Pete..
The TL is an awesome car.. the Infinity is also a nice car. I have experience with both and my first opinion would say TL.
But.. since it needs to be asked.. can we get a picture of her to help in our choice as to which car should would look best in?

Jag X-type......aren't those pretty much the AWD overpriced Tauras?
The TL, be forewarned, they have TPS issues the prevent the tranny'* from downshifting and causing stalling and other crap you don't wanna deal with. Problem is the TPS sensors are on national backorder. So if you need one, you'll have to wait about a week to a week and a half to get one. (My neighbor has one with that issue right now.)
The G35 looks better IMO, my other neighbor has one....Go with the G.
I also haven't had the best of luck with TL'* since I've smoked about 4 of them......in accidents, though 3 of them caused their own destruction lol.
