No kidding...lousy summer (we had drizzle and grey skies almost every day), and now this...we're not even going to have foliage this year because the rain and wind (like the 50mph winds we're supposed to get in a couple days) have knocked all the leaves off.

I used to have a basement that did that. Had to dig up all the way around the house and replace all the drain rock and reseal the concrete walls. Also had to install a HD sump pump to pump drainage directly to sewer. Huge job.

Hey all..
Boost residence stayed dry with minor yard flooding which is totally normal. I grabbed my shop vac and 2 30packs. Randy'* place is now above the water line. This odd bright thing is now dominating the sky .. however I've forgotten what it is.
Roads here in town are still a little wet....a few with doa cars in the middle of ponds. Got some pics and let the camera at Randy'*.
Things are still good for NEBF...and Karl that sink hole is a few exits south from here.

I got lucky too, ground is so saturated that the water was seeping up in the basement window well and then coming in through the window. Last Sat. and again last night had to stay up all night going into the basement every 1/2 hour to syphon out the window well to prevent major waterfall. Thankfully the slop sink is close enough to the window so it wasn't that big a deal. All said and done, only ended up with amounted to a couple of puddles on the floor. Whew

Happiness and cleanliness has been restored to Casa de randman. Boosty logged in over 10 hours of his time to help along with some needed equipment and refreshments. The standing water was mostly removed yesterday by using two 12 gallon shop vacs. I would guess that they were emptied over 70 times.
Along with removing all of the water, we moved every single item in the basement in order to mop with with a bleach and water solution to prevent any mold. The good news is that nothing was really lost. Some building supplies like Sheetrock, mortar and plaster were all done but I didn't mind tossing it anyway.
A huge thanks to Boosty for the help. I feel very lucky to have him so nearby. Thanks bud!
