Please satisfy my curiousity and isnt the rule 1 sec off stock 1/4 mile time at the track = $1000 in mods?

Remember Ebay can make outrageous claims to sell a product, buyer beware.
Mabey 130 bucks but its in good condition............Everyone i talk to freaks out once they hear the paying price I put like a expensive exaust on today the guy says it was 200 bucks but i dont belive him only problem is the silencer is stuck in it. Sounds awsome and added a bit of hp (wont slip much off the line but as the rpms get up the tires start squeaking)

Why don't you fix the thing first before you spend money on mods?

Yea, pretty sure you will gain some power back by fixing it. It might not be as glamorus as putting on CAI and exhausts but, but your car would appreciate it.

swapping in a taurus 3.0 v6 is actually pretty common, those motors can be had for CHEAP since there everywhere, and its 200hp with some good torque, not sure on the amount of torque, but more than enough for a contour.

look for contour forums
