It'* not what the world is coming to, it'* where the world is already at. Damned if you do and damned if you don't. All someone has to do to disrupt daily life is to make a threat. After 9/11 the authorities have to take it seriously and all the wanna be'* out there know this.
If the media didn't make such a big deal of it, maybe, just maybe it wouldn't be happening so often.

the world isnt "coming" to this. the world has ALWAYS been like this. but there havent been systems in place to make small issues huge issues and to publicize the small issues to the point where everyone in california knows bu monday afternoon what happened in derry, maine on monday morning.

couple that with a mentality of "overreact or get sued" and you have what the world is "coming to". its just people being people, just like always.

i know when i was in middle school i took knives to school all the time. in elementary school i composed what i thought was a funny poem where most of my classmates ended up dead. if i did that today, given our current mentality, id probably be locked up somewhere. people arent changing. the only thing thats changing is our awareness.

Wow, that'* crazy, I just got a Campus Announcement on my Campus Cruiser (College Email System) that stated they found a threat written in the bathroom stall stating "There will be a shooting here on the 19th", and that they were beefing up security and stuff.

WTH....

What a waste of time,money and resources these threats are and they have no choice but to take all threats big or small seriously no matter what.
