It is impossible to seperate religion/government. When these elected officials get sworn in what do they do???? They put their hand on the Bible. I am a Christian and like the fact that Bush is a Christian and doesn't mind asking the country to pray.

The sad fact of it is, that in order to be "open minded" and "tolerant" we must water our religion down to the point that it barely resembles what we know...well, at the risk of sounding obtuse, if that is what I have to do to become what the world wants I want no part of it, and I support Bush wholeheartedly for being of like conviction.

People tend to forget that the whole idea of separation of church and state was designed to keep people of one religion from inhibiting other people'* freedom to practice their own. These days, a lot of people force their religion of atheism on others, stand in the way of their freedom of religion, and act as if "seperation of church and state" doesn't allow anyone to show their beliefs in public.
