Yea, I'd be crazy to run against a N* even with my mods on the highway
If you are talking about the new N* then right. But a N* from the mid- late 90s you should outrun with you're mods even on the highway.

You're saying that the 3800 isn't a freeway engine? Yeah, they have scads of pick-up off the line, but I can also do 80mph at 2300rpm all damn day.
Or do you mean that the 3.6 is lacking on the bottom end?
We are saying the 3.8 is lacking in top end and the 3.6 is lacking in bottom end compared to the 3800.

Ah.
Oh well, I'm not buying the Buick anyways, I'm waitng to see if the 3.9 is going to be worth the money for a G6. Either that or GTP Comp G.
Of course, that'll be a second car, I'm not giving up on my Bonnie yet!

I'm not rippin on the 3800, I'm just saying with it'* overhead cams, the 3.6 has a lot of upper rpm power. That'* just how they are designed. I've seen those Caddy SRX with the OHC V6 absolutely fly on the freeway.

Yer. While a 3.6 DOHC 24 valver might give a bit down low to a two-valve 3800, they'll make their power anywhere you rev it. Still fast on the strip, and still more than enough around town or on the highway. Makes for one fast car, although this likes to cause deception on the butt-dyno. I'm quite confident that my uncle'* '94 Camry V6 will beat my LN3 off the line and anywhere after that.

The Northstar would get stomped by a */C SII 3800.. if they both have 300,000 miles on the original engine/tranny.
Provided the 3800 actually GETS to 300,000 miles on that original tranny
