Guess it'* time to update. Appraised at over what I am paying for it, which makes me happy. Survey has been done, so all that is left to do now is close on it.

Insurance is a bit much I think, but I have to consider the fact that this IS Florida and it IS a woodframe home. I gotta set up a time for a final inspection to make sure all is well with the place, but other than that...everything is go!

No more heavy spending on Jinx now

UPDATE

Semi-final inspection took place yesterday. Looks like the major issues except for one has been fixed. And the one that wasn't fixed is the least major of them all...bathroom exhasut fan is inop. Though I am starting to get a bit nervous...my banker has yet to provide a time for the closing to take place (it is supposed to be this comming Wednesday). Honestly, I think she has been the one thing that has made this homebuying thing hellish for me. She doesn't return phone calls, rarely returns emails, and she went on vacation for a week w/o telling ANYONE, which left myself and my realtor wondering "WTF?"

Ute cancellations have been done, new ute hookups have been scheduled, apartment is halfway packed. And Jinx is filled to the brim with spare parts, along with a full tank of gas. Its trans only has to last 40 or so miles, and it will be the first thing moved into the house (Karen will be driving the Maxx, I am driving Jinx to the closing...after closing, I get the keys, and Jinx gets to go to sleep for a bit).

I hate waiting.

Sounds like all that waiting will be rewarded... But I would start looking for another bank in the meantime. You can't let those people bully you. I've been through 4 banks just because I didn't like the way they did business. Now I'm with a bank I'm happy with and have been with them for 2 years. So idk if you wanna start the paperwork again, but idk, maybe you should at least threaten her with switching banks? All that interest makes for a good sized paycheck for her, and deep down inside, she really doesn't want to loose it

It'* not the bank itself. It'* just the way she has gone about doing it all. Even the title company is having a hard time getting in touch with the processor up in Jacksonville. I spoke with my mortgage rep yesterday and she said I do not need to bring anything moneywise for the closing, and said I am on track for Wednesday, but in the same breath she also said that she has not heard the final answer from the processor yet. And that it is up to the processor what time the closing on Wednesday takes place. Though this is my first time buying a home, I can still smell something foul. I'm just hoping it'* my paranoia and nothing else.

It'* common to feel really uptight about this time in the process. Hang in there and it will hopefully be all done soon. My personal experience is that bank/mortgage processers and title companies are the least reliable to deal with during the closing process.

Just do your own math to be sure ad question anything that looks wrong.

Then try to keep that guy from Titusville out of your garage!
