Bombings in London
My boss is in London at this moment. We just got word that he is okay though but the phones have been ringing off the hook with people wanting to check on the group that are over there. I told them not to leave the country. It is just too unsafe out there.

Just got this email:
"Joe just called from London!!! Everyone is fine. It'* late afternoon there now and Joe said the buses, subway, and shops are all shut down.
They are scheduled to leave in the morning. The airport they are departing from is about 2 hours away from London and Joe didn't foresee any problems with their departure. If all goes well, they will be back in Atlanta tomorrow night"

I just got off a conference call with our UK offic. They said all of our colleagues are fine, but they plan on London being a mess for a few days.
I'm kinda fired up about this whole issue. The SOB'* won't attck a military base, or anyone else who might just be ready to, or capable of defending themselves. Instead they go after civilians who are just trying to live normal lives. Or they set up a bomb on a public street hoping that one of thier enemies will be the victim. Or talk some poor schmuck into strapping a bomb to themselves......
Suffice to say, I just feel that'* about the most cowardly way in the world to "fight a war". Attack innocents from hiding, then bounce your "victory message" through who knows how many sources, claiming responsibility, but still hiding from it....
Bastards.....

My two brothers work and still live in london we were all worried moblie phones all went down so we could not get in contact, but by mid day all was well and we had heard from them .
As my younger brother would say you just got to pick your self up and get on with it.
we will just have to wait and see if any more go off
(I wonder what would had happend if paris had got the olimpics) it makes you think

Terrorism comes in all forms, whether it be in bombings, or taking children hostage (which in my mind is the lowest of the low). Our world is forever changing and there will always be people in the world who do not want to see the change, or they want everyone to feel as they do. Taking the lives of innocent people is not the way to do things, nor does it make your cause seem more important, all it serves is to make others mad and hate you even more. Terrorism is a cowardly act and the people who carry out these acts need to be punished, but what kind of punishment would fit the crime, yes we would like to kill them, but how does this serve to show others that we will not tolerate this?? We also have to remember that even if we (society) do get rid of those who have committed this terrible act and others like them, there will always be someone else who will do the same thing. There seems to be no answer for this.
Our hearts and prayers go out to the families and friends of the victims.

It was only a matter of time, it seems. The toll was steep, but soon those involved, those who perpetrated these events, will be wishing they had caused more 'damage' in their initial attack. One does not attack the English like this and get away with it. As my friend has said, they have 'tread on the tail of the dragon'. Indeed. The next few days should be very interesting. Bad move, Al Qaida, baaad move...
And, as always, best wishes to those who have suffered from this attack. Sadly, more will inevitably follow, but such are the times we live in. May their involuntary sacrifices not be in vane...
