I've been to the Ranger plant, its only 20 miles from my house. All Rangers are built here in St. Paul, Minnesota. Killer where do you and you're friends live in Wisconsin, because i'm going through next week and I don't want to die.

I've seen this 25 mph zone it should be more like a 45 mph zone there arn't that many houses crammed in that area at all possibly why cops like to sit on that road cause its a long stretch with not that many houses on it and itrs a 25 mph zone i bet alot of people accidently speed through there cause it seems like a 45 mph zone

Yea that guy is a moron, i don't know why or how you would want to get up to 123 in a residential area. What was he thinking? When i was getting my speakers installed at Best Buy last weekend, i started talking with the guy that was installing them. He said that he hated ricers (one just drove by and i made a remark about how stupid it was... he agreed) and we got on the topic of cars, muscle cars in particular. So was informed me that his dad owned a Dana Shop in the town just south of mine, so naturally he has good hook-ups for nearly next to nothing. He told me that when he was 17 he had a 1987 Mustang GT 5.0L. He said that when he was driving by Michigan Adventures(a theme park near me) that it was a 55mph speed zone and a cop spotted him doing 160mph!!!! I was straight up surprised. He said that he wouldn't out run the cop and saw the flashers a ways back and pulled over. Had to wait a while for the cop to catch him but he stopped. The cop didn't ticket him, just brought him home to his parents(it was 2:00am...waking up parents....'nuff said) and they took his car away for a while. Now he drives a '92 Vette..... some people just have it made don't they.........

im im not mistanked isnt that 6 felonies??? double the speed limit is one...
In Michigan 30 over is a felony. Double the limit makes more sense, but 30 over makes plenty of sense as well.

Every kid I ever knew who was smart enough to actually put something like that together was also smart enough to not mistreat or take chances with thier ride. After all, it was a lot of time and money invested and they loved it more than anything.
I agree. I know what thats like, I wouldn't pull something like that. Lets see, the last time I did something stupid in my car I was going 130 (200rpm past redline in 3rd gear and it was still pulling pretty well) in a 55 following my friend. (30+ mile long 2 lane road in the middle of nowhere with farm land on both sides) My friend slammed on the brakes because someone backed out of their driveway onto the road and going 130mph (him going 112 as that was where his limiter was...i was trying to catch up) it takes a while to stop. So he slowed down and I had both feet to the floorboard on the brakes and there was one point where I was within about 2' from hitting him...scared the **** out of me, never did that again. At that time I only had $50 into my car. At this point in time I have almost $2k into it and I drive about 2 over the speed limit (every once and while I go 5 over...and raced a jetta the other day to about 95 on the freeway (70mph limit), but other than that rare occasion thats it). I have too much time/money in my car, I really don't want to wreck it, and I don't wanna die, I don't want to get a $2700 ticket, I don't want to get my license suspended, and I don't want to go to jail. I was stupid for the first few months i got my license, I got over that and got over it really quick...I was stupid and frankly I'm lucky I'm alive. I've done some pretty stupid things that I don't care to mention because they were THAT stupid.

I honestly think you're friend deserves everything he got. 125 over in a residential area is dumb. I went 40 in my subdivision once (25mph limit) and I'll never do that again. There is little kids everywhere. It only takes one little kid not looking both ways for there to be a big problem when you're going that fast.

Heh, I drive by the ford plant almost every day. Its funny because MN is known for making the POS of the ford family =(

To play devils advocat my friends cousin has two really quick ford rangers. One 88 and the other is a 92, both have built 302s pushing around 300hp, But none the less most any vehicle besides exotic sport cars dont have the aerodynamic design to actually stick to the ground at speeds of 150mhp, especially a crappy ranger

Well from personal experience, I can tell you that it would be fairly hard to get that Ranger up that fast.

The fastest I was able to get that truck was 100mph ( 160km/h). It was a 4L with a 5-speed. Sure it had power but I was coming back form T.O. on the 401 had it in 5th and floored and 160 was it. Maybe a bit quicker if I was going downhill but I never even hit the limiter. It was just gutless once you reach that speed.

Mind you it road quite well though.
