Back from Hospital today
Hi all just a quick update. Got home from the hospital today. Surgery went ok on Friday, no major problems other then Monday morning about 2am woke up in severe pain. Doc sent me down for a stomach xray to see if i had a leak in my new pouch. It extended my stay by 1 day, but the test came back negative. I'm already sick of apple juice, jello, chicken broth, and black coffee... Oh well just another 12 days of it before i can have some hot oatmeal...Woo Hoo!. I got 5 little incisions in the belly with some tape to hold them all together. I've already lost 7 lbs since last Wednesday, but have to wait at least 2 weeks before i can start working out on my Bowflex.
Thanks for all the well wishes and i've missed you people dearly. Looking forward to reading the posts i've missed, but only after i can read them and laugh without it hurting too much. Talk to you soon
Deb

Glad to have you back! Great that things worked out good for you. Hope you have a speedy recovery. If you don't want to laugh too hard don't read anything that MOS has posted. He always cracks me up.

Glad to see everything went well.
I was in Toronto on the weekend, took me 6.5 hours to get there, normally takes about 4-5. We actually had to stop on the 400 due to POOR visibility, actually it was zero visibility.
Plus it was freezing cold there on the weekend, colder than back home up north, so you didn't miss anything by not going outside, he.
Hope you feel better soon.

Glad things worked out for you. Don't be afraid to laugh a little. They say that laughter is the best medicine (I don't know who "they" are).
And, yes, it IS possible to get sick of jello, if it'* the only thing you can eat for days on end.

JELLO RULES!

Hope everything works out for ya. I'm sure you're well aware that this isn't the end all/be all fix. I know a couple people who did this and they are back in the same boat the were in when they started. Good luck.
