Auto show pics... WOW
Ok, I went out to the Northwood University Internation Auto Show on Sunday. All in all, it wasn't bad, but not ultra impressive... more like 30 car dealerships got togather and had their cars on display. HOWEVER, there was a few cars that really caught my eye
First off, YES, the new G8 was there. My opinion??? I hope they bring the Bonneville back Don't get me wrong, I like it, and RWD is awesome, BUT it is just too tall and way too narrow. Maybe a drive in one will change my mind, but I thought it was going to be the replacement for the Grand Prix AND the Bonneville. Instead I personally think the car looks smaller then the Grand Prix :? Yea I was very excited to see the G8, and now am sort of let down. A drive is definatly needed to make a final opinion on it, but for now, my opinion remains somewhat let down. I don't like tall narrow cars.
OK, now on to the good
Sweeeeetttt Solstice
New Camaro... definatly NOT a let down.... AWESOME!!!
Corvette race cars.. yeah, these were REAL!!! I heard them fire up talk about LOUD
NOW, on to the CRAZY part
This was on our way out after the show was over and most cars were being packed up
NO ROPES, NO GUARDS!!!!!
They had TWO of these there.... the other one was orange and they were actually DRIVING IT DOWN THE ROAD!!!!

The big deal to me is that the location is a college area with MANY MANY MANY accidents all the time... probably one car accident a day over there... most are just fender benders, but we are talking about a $300,000 exotic car being driven by younger salesmen and they were showing off. Not really spinning tires, but they were gettin on it pretty good and made sure everyone knew they were there.
I guess another thing was that the nicest car you usually see around here is MAYBE a $75,000 car. I did see a $100,000 Cadillac XLR V about an hour from here, but that'* about it.
so yeah, the big deal wasn't necessarily that it was on "A" road, but more the area where it was

i guess i am just spoiled in the area that i live in... there are some people around here with big bucks to spend.... And i drive by atleast one accident at day during my commute when i usually see these cars
I see losts of Aston Martins, Lambos, Ferraris, Mercedes CL65s, Audi R8s (saw my first the otherday.... OMG SO HOT), Lotuses, Benleys... etc etc... I probably see 2-3 exotics a week (not counting the ones for sale at the place next to my work)

I bet you don't see any Ferrari Enzo'* there though
I don't know what I would do if there was that sort of variety around here... it would make my cars look bad that'* for sure
Yeah, the way this economy is going here in Michigan, I don't think anyone will have the money for cars soon, we will all be riding around on horses living in teepee'* :(
