Like you I thought we got lots of snow untill I started traveling. We don't get jack, especially in the past 3 years. Visit the UP of Michigan or upstate New York. In these places there are snow squalls. Like lines of thunderstorms, only they will drop 4 inches of snow in under an hour! First time I went up to the UP with my buddy he said you'll see snow here you've never seen before. I didn't believe until a squall hit, then I was like oh.. SH*T. Case in point Siver City, Michigan av snowfall: 248 inches; Minneapolis, Minnesota: 41 inches.
