I remember the Tempest well, particularly early to mid '60'*, even late '60'*. They were a fine car, and shared the same body as the GTO. I think the first year was 1962, and they were very small, relatively.

ya the pic above was a '68, they were alot smaller in the early '60'*. Friend had a '64 and it killed me to ride in it. It was just a little bigger than a Corvair...... I know, "what'* a Corvair"

what about the pontiac beaumont ? i think that was it. it was sold in canada. it was a chevelle with pontiac grills and emblems. had a chevy engine too. saw one at the woodward dream cruise last year. strange things come from that wicked beer you guys got up there !!

I think the Tempest in the photo above is actually a 1967, perhaps a '66. Starting in '68, all US cars had side running lights, and this one doesnt. Also, in 1968, they changed body style completely. Less squared off, more curved body lines.

why would they sell a pontiac badged chevy a-body when potiac already had an A-body? i'm confused.
