Why? Because every State that passes the law sees an immediate drop in violent crime. Criminals don't like the idea of their potential victims being armed.
Why? Because I travel alot and had two very young daughters. I maintain the license to this day. I only carry out of town. Although I was armed almost the entire time during WCBF as well.
I carry a Colt .45 M199A1 Compact (officers model size, 3.5" barrel). I carry 7+1 in it, and a single backup 7rd mag. Any more than that is purely ridiculous. The only original parts left on it are the frame and slide. All the rest were purchased aftermarket and hand-fit myself. Hours of custom work and tuning. Even the grips were made by me.

Very extensive mod list. Same one I nailed that Grouse with in that famous other pic.

i own a 100% working 1887 harrington and richardson 32 cal 6 shot with a custom pearl handle.. and since it is pre 1899 it is considered an antique and in pennsylvania you do not need a permit or a license to own a antique gun.. i live in allentown which is pretty bad in places so i keep it in my home in case some tries to break in while were sleeping or in the house period.. plus i got it because it was a gift from my uncle who collects guns and its worth about $800 if i was to sell it..
but i have no intentions of ever using it unless its a life or death situation.

I heard it in a movie once....
"I'd rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it."
I don't have a permit to carry one, nor do I have one to carry. Doesn't mean I won't some day.
