Anyone know 3rd gen Z28s??
I need front suspension for my car, my friend told me to get suspension out of a car with the 1LE suspension package. Everything I have been finding says not compatibel with 1LE, and the junkyard by me only has v6 Rally Sports. The parts I need are spindles, hubs, calipers, rotors, and a few other odds and ends. Anyone have any idea on the differences between 1LE and regular??

"The aluminum drive shaft, big front brakes adapted from the Corvette, fuel tank baffles, specific front and rear shock absorbers, and different jounce bumpers. Also, fog lamps were deleted for weight savings and better air flow to the radiator."
but i have the fog lights, thats the only diff.
you dont need the 1LE, any suspention but a 6 banger will work, ok

The car originally had 1LE, so most of those things are still there. Do you know if the spindles are the same from an RS to a Z28??

You called! Do a search in the "my rides" section on here and you can find my posts about my 1LE as shown below. It inc tech info. Due to GM only telling a few select race teams the first few years it was known as the secret F-body.
Reg-vs-1LE
Basic thing is the 1LE rpo pkg was a special order that resulted in a showroom stock race car for SCCA racing. Most (but they could be ordered fully loaded) cars have NO pwr options, or radio or fog lts and base int. But you did get- 12" (reg are 9") front rotors with dual piston Vette brakes, alum drive shaft, oil cooler, baffeled gas tank with dual pick up, Bilstein shocks, bigger sway bars, stiffer coils. Most also have a G65 axle code that gives you 3.27 rear with a auto/3.45 stick. They where aval with both 350/305 TPI. Depending on year there where never more than 708 made in any one model year. For more info

Yea the 1LE brakes are that good, my IROC seems to mush compared to my Z28.
