Anyone Installed a Pioneer DEH-P4800MP HU
Has anyone installed this in any type of vehicle? I am looking at buying one for my 91 GMC Sonoma and wanted to find out if you had one were you happy with it.
Also if you have a recommendation for a better deck in the same price range I would be interested in your recommendation.
Hear is a link to the Pioneer HU.

I believe that Crutchfield has the best price for everything needed to install the HU at $149.00.

for me it was pretty good make sure you get the proper mounting kit and the proper wiring harness and when you dis asembling and assembiling take your time and dont be a dumby(not that you are) read the directions for the mounting kit before install
your welcome it will probably take any where from an 1 1/2 hour or 3 hours depending on what problems you run into and when you put it all back together get some

Will do on the PICS. And again thank you. The Crutchfield site seems to have every thing I need. I will also try to integrate my Delphi MyFi into the install. Right now it is hanging off of the AC vent.
BTW the reason I want to install the HU is so I can play music for my son when he rides in the truck. He is 6 and a half with different music tastes than I have. Although he likes Ella Fitzgerald!

Should not be a problem. Radios are easy as long as there are not other auto features hooked into the radio and as you know on a 91 noma there is nothing else associated with the radio except for a built in clock. LOL

Bought the unit from Crutchfields. $150 for everything including shipping. I had a $50 AMX gift card for test driving a Lincoln Zephyr so the cost was only $100.00.
Sounds way better that the stock unit and I can now play CD'* for my son when we take the truck out to run errands.
