I've been blinded by the Trooper'* lights and pull over to left as far as possible and hope nobody'* standing in that lane cause you wouldn't be able to see them.I've also come up on a vehicle that was pulled over on a 2 lane road and the county mounty had his spotlight shinning up along side the vehicle. Well the highway was wet from a recent rain and the reflection was right in my eyes. I slowed down and pulled over to the right as far as possible without running on the gravle shoulder and wa hoping nobody was standing in the road as I couldn't see them.I almost hit my high lights and the next time I will just for saftey sake.

instead of having strobes on while on the side of the road with someone they should have the lights flash slower like hazard lights do, still be red and blue but a slower flash, its annoying as all hell when you're up close trying to get around that light show. this way its still visible and the red and blue let you know its police. excessive blinking is a little much.

New York just made that law? That'* been on the books in Connecticut for as long as I can remember.

NY made it law last year in January. This year, they expanded it on the 1st to include vehicles with amber lights.

Came up on the same problem last night on my way home. Trooper stopping a car, side of a 2 lane, trooper'* Yukon was part way into my lane, and just ahead of the stop was the crest of the hill, and I couldn't see the other side.
I pulled up really slowly, stopped (knew there was no one behind me for at least a mile on this stretch of road). Couldn't see around him. No one waved me by, couldn't see the officer, or where anyone was standing. Ended up trying to block out the strobes with one hand, slowly pulled out and around them, then got back in the lane quick as I could.
They way they are getting stopped, or stopping these cars is putting other drivers in a dangerous situation. This is the second time in a week that one has been stopped before the crest in a hill, the trooper parked partway into my lane, and you can't see around them to tell if someone is about to crest the hill in the opposite lane or not.
If they had waited until the hill crested to pulled them over, it leveled out for a bit after that. It would have been much safer for everyone.
This is getting ridiculous. And dangerous! If it weren't for those lights, you might be able to tell if there was a car coming up the other side of the hill, but you can't see anything past these guys.
