Antarctica Wave (17 - 640x480 pics)
I got this in an email. Think it could really be real?
The water froze the instant the wave broke through the ice. That'* what it'* like in Antarctica. Water freezes the instant it comes in contact with the air. The temperature of the water is already many degrees below freezing. Just look at how the wave froze in midair!

I don't think that can be possible. There is far to much energy in that amount of water to flash freeze like that, even in the cold Antarctic air.

No way any wave is going to freeze like that, actually any moving water wont freeze and is a way of keeping your pipes from doing so.

it should be noted that the temperature of water CAN be below "freezing", depending on what is added to the water. most high schools make ice cream by lowering the freezing point of water [through adding salt] to way below zero.
