Tracy, may I suggest you dress him in something more like this before you send him on his next sleepover:

I don't think the seriousness of the situation has hit him.The other boy has gone to see the counselor at school and won't stay home alone after school like he used to. I asked Colton why he thought it was affecting the other boy more...his reply "because he almost died. My orange juice saved him...and probably because it was his house and not mine....can I play Playstation?"

Oh wow Tracy! I am so glad your son and his friend are just fine physically. The emotional part will be somwhat difficult to overcome especially for your son'* friend but hopefully in time he will be right back to normal. God is definetly watching out for you and your family.
Oh...and I hope you have the winning ticket

Wow, that'* freakin crazy! I've always had a fear of that happening to myself, considering there'* been a few dozen times I've seen bikes go by my house so fast I couldn't even tell what color they were, and cars with cops at least a half mile behind them.
People like that just **** me off. My gf'* lil bro tried to take off the other night after drinking. I let him use my breathaliser and he blew a .08. I was like give me your keys. He didn't comply, and got thrown on the ground and put in a lock until he agreed not to leave lol. High school students... (not like I was one last year).

Thanks again everyone. Putertopia - I'm glad to hear you are willing to stand up to your friends. This did not happen that night. People who knew her let her leave. This happens all the time, unfortunately. It is true, "friends don't let friends drink and drive".
On a positive note, the driver called the home owners on Monday to apologize in person. Hopefully this incident will turn her life around. She was very upset and kept saying, 'you probably want to kill me'. A bit drastic, needless to say. The homeowners are awesome people, very calm and compassionate, and simply told her all of the detials (so she knew how serious it was) and that they want her to get help but feel she does need to be penalized as per the law. Most importantly, never to do it again.
She didn't have anything to gain by calling them, I mean...her fate is in hands of the judge...so I thought that was very courageous that she called and owned up to what happened.

It'* good to hear she realizes that what she did could have been much more serious than it was. A lot of times people are just like 'Well, it didn't happen, so let'* just forget about it'. That does nothing to stop it from getting serious the next time. Sounds like shes getting herself on the right path though.
