Here'* yet another reason that I stay sober and straight when I go to parties.
I just found out this morning that Stephen Boston, an acquaintance of mine and a good friend to a lot of people passed away on Sunday. He was drunk, riding in a car with a drunk driver. They hit a tree. The driver walked away.
Now I am sitting here missing classes because I am too upset to function. I can't believe this happened. Because Stephen was a graduate from my former high school. The school is small (less then 250 students), so we all know each other. Stephen was a graduate of the class before me.
He was 20 years old.
For the love of God, people, learn from others' mistakes. Don't drink and drive, it'* dumb. If nothing else, think of the possibility that you'd hurt someone else. Also, think how many people would have to hurt just becuase you wouldn't give up your keys.

That'* very sad to hear, and i'm sorry for you and everythign that'* going on. My High School had way to many problems with drinking, i think we were #3 on Cosmo'* list for top schools in the country for it...
Not that my college is any better, but it keeps me away.

I'm sorry to hear that.
I hear about all kinds of people doing such a foolish thing around campus. Whenever I do drink, I never come close to a car, and I'm always in walking distance of my room.

I'm very sorry to hear that Christine and hope you feel better soon. It'* always hard to find out someone you were close to died much sooner than they should have.

I just found out who the driver was. He was on a suspended license due to the fact that he almost killed some OTHER people from our school two years ago...same reason. It'* sad when people can't learn from other people'* mistakes, it'* tragic when they can't learn from their own.
He walked away from both accidents.

My former high school has lots of incidences like this. This summer/fall alone, 5 kids were killed. They were all separate accidents, but there was one that had 2 kids together. My sister also just told me of a girl she knows at school who sat on some guys lap when he was driving - they were both drunk - and flipped the car.
So she broke some bones and they had to make up a lame *** excuse about her hurting herself, and "got rid of" the car if you know what i mean, considering it was his parents and his license is already suspended. Stupid kids.
